ACE Tempest Re Europe
ACE Tempest Re (NYSE:ACE) has appointed Matthew Shaw as managing director of ACE Tempest Re Europe, based in London.

He joins the company from St Paul, where he served as a director of the board of the managing agent and active underwriter for Syndicate 340.

Green Flag Group
Andrew Kilbane has joined Green Flag Group as marketing database executive. He joins from Redcats UK where he was risk analyst.

Chubb Insurance
Chubb Insurance has appointed Miles Wright as political risk manager for Europe. He has more than 25 years' political risk experience and joins from Genesis Underwriting Agency where he was a director.

Previously he worked at AIG Europe for 13 years before leaving to set up Polwring Underwriting Agency at Lloyd's.

Chaucer Insurance
Four new members have joined Chaucer Insurance's management team.

Geri Pedani joins as HR manager from the Brake Group, where she worked for 12 years.

Dawn Probert joins as third party claims manager, after more than three years at Allianz Cornhill where she was personal injury and complex team leader.

Cathy Eastwood has been appointed as project controller.

Robin Peach joins as assistant fleet underwriter. Previously, Peach was a fleet underwriter at Equity/Crowe.

CNA Insurance
CNA Insurance has appointed Steve Goddard as property/casualty underwriter at its Manchester branch.

He has more than 25 years' experience and has worked at ITT London and Edinburgh, General Accident and Sun Alliance.

Legal

James Chapman & Co
James Chapman & Co has appointed Roshan Balloo and Dionne Elliott as assistant solicitors on its insurance litigation team.

Balloo joins from the South Yorkshire Police and has also worked for Beachcroft Wansbroughs.

Elliott joins from law firm Jacksons and has also worked for Peasgood's.

Loss Adjuster

GAB Robins
Julian Carter joins the GAB Robins London Market construction team, having transferred from GAB's Coventry construction office.

Terry Dunning has been appointed as managing director of the Singapore office. He will work on expanding loss adjusting services for insurers throughout south-east Asia and will work with the London team.

Technology

Eurobase
Eurobase Consulting, the IT consultancy arm of Eurobase International, has appointed Jim Walsby as business development manager. His prime responsibility will be new business sales of Prism, Eurobase's new business intelligence reporting solution.

Walsby has worked in IT for 15 years. For the last six years he has worked for ICL.

Vincent Sherman
James Payne, has joined Vincent Sherman Associates (VSA), the insurance fraud investigation subsidiary of Capcon Holdings, the AIM listed company.

Payne joins as motor claims controller.

HSB Haughton Engineering
Tim James has been promoted to the role of regional manager of HSB Haughton Engineering based in its Birmingham regional office. James, previously branch manager in HSB Haughton's Bristol office, will be responsible for the overall development of the Midlands and West Region. He has been with the company since January 2000 and brings with him more than 15 years' experience in this field.

Regency
Michael Hughes, financial director at emergency home assistance provider Home Service, has moved over to the newly acquired Regency Financial Holdings in Weston-super-Mare.

Winchester White
Winchester White has appointed two additional consultants.

John Evans joins as principal consultant, from HBOS where he was head of customer service for credit cards. He has held a number of managerial roles within the financial services industry. Previously he was head of customer management at Pearl Assurance. Prior to that he held roles including general manager of customer service and sales Eagle Star Direct.

Riane du Plooy moves to Winchester White as a consultant. Previously, she held the role of business consultant at Unisys where she was involved in a number of product design and actuarial projects. Prior to joining Unisys in 1999, she held a number of business and actuarial consulting roles and also lectured at the University of Pretoria.

ISS Ark & General
ISS Ark & General has recently appointed Mike Mercer as its south west project manager.

He has eight years experience in the industry with Bristol firms Casa Vanity and Belfor and will be based at the company's Portsmouth office.

DisasterCare
Louisa Sharpe has been appointed as managing director of Lincoln-based disaster restoration company DisasterCare.

Darwin Rhodes
Darwin Rhodes has appointed Ben Crayston to lead its expansion into the temps and
contracts market.

Crayston has more than four years recruitment experience and has worked for IPS Group, Hanover and, most recently, a Lloyd's broker.
