Dennis Veingard has joined Churchill Insurance Consultants as its commercial account manager. He has more than 40 years' experience in the insurance and financial services industry. For more than 30 years Veingard ran his own business, Consultant Insurance Brokers, which merged in 1999 with another brokerage. He sold his share of Ashley Page & Veingard, where he was joint managing director, in June 2001.

TT Club
TT Club has appointed Louise Bradley as director of e-commerce strategy. Bradley has worked at the business development unit of TT Club management company Thomas Miller & Co for the last three years. She previously worked in the marketing department of NatWest International Bank.

Lawclub
Anne Dodds has rejoined Bristol-based Lawclub Legal Protection as a business developer for the South East. She previously worked for three years at Lawclub.

AKA
Anthony Kidd Agencies (AKA) has appointed Mike Greenland as account developer for the South East. He joins from insurance recruitment specialist Edbrige. Greenland also worked at Independent Insurance for more than six years, developing specialist lines business.

Berrymans Lace Mawer
John Henthorn, a partner at law firm Berrymans Lace Mawer, has been appointed district judge for Liverpool and Southport. Henthorn became a partner with Laces and Co in Liverpool in 1972, moving to the Manchester office of Lace Mawer, as it was then known, in 1995. He was instrumental in the founding of the firm's Leeds branch in 1997 and was its senior partner until 2000.

Donns
Peter Ackroyd, partner at Donns Solicitors, has joined the Manchester Law Society Council. In this role, he has been asked to join the civil litigation committee to promote the interests of Manchester-based solicitors specialising in this field. Ackroyd will also sit on the legal education committee, which supports and develops training excellence within the legal profession.

Personal injury department head and IBB partner Tony Wiseman has recently been appointed to the Action for Victims of Medical Accidents (AVMA) panel. Wiseman has specialised in acting for accident victims for more than ten years.

Michael Fong has been appointed as a partner at Manchester-based law firm Antony Hodari & Co. Fong has been with the firm since 1997, dealing with fast track professional indemnity (PI) cases and acting as liaison for the firm's main clients.

Browne Jacobson
Browne Jacobson has appointed two new solicitors. Assistant solicitor Stephen Cornfield joins the Birmingham-based public authority department from Birmingham firm Davies. Cornfield qualified in September 1997 and is experienced in dealing with a wide range of defendant personal injury cases. Assistant solicitor Ed Anderson joins the London professional indemnity (PI) department from Crutes in Newcastle. Prior to that he was with Pinsent Curtis Biddle in London.

Beachcroft Wansbroughs
Beachcroft Wansbroughs has recruited James Morris to its Bristol partnership from Cardiff-based law firm Palser Grossman. He will specialise in general insurance litigation matters, with emphasis on complex motor and employers' liability claims. Morris joined Palser Grossman in 1997 from Bristol-based law firm Sansbury Hill

SCOR
Reinsurer SCOR has announced the following appointments. Romain Durand, president and chief operating officer of group life operations and group executive committee member, becomes group executive vice president. SCOR US president and CEO Jerome Faure joins the group executive committee. Faure will co-ordinate the group's North American property and casualty activities, with the exception of Commercial Risk Partners (CRP). Jerome Karter has left the group executive committee to become advisor to the chairman. He will remain vice chairman of the board of SCOR US until his retirement on 30 June 2002.

Watson Wyatt
Watson Wyatt Partners has appointed Monica Fisher as the first external member of its partnership board. Fisher undertakes a wide variety of non-executive and trustee roles, including non-executive director of the Surrey Ambulance Service NHS trust, lay representative on the Bar Council complaints committee and chairman of CHASE Children's Hospice Service. Previously, she worked in international banking and has also run a strategic consultancy in financial services.

ISS After Damage Services has appointed Shaun Doherty managing director at its recently acquired disaster recovery company Ark & General. He will be based at the company's Hednesford headquarters. Doherty joins from Electromec also recently acquired by ISS. He has worked in disaster recovery since 1994, having previously worked for Relectronic Remech.

Steve Robinson has been appointed Skipton branch manager after having held a number of positions within operations at BELFOR-Relectronic over the past five years.

RSJ Mediation
Surrey-based company RSJ Mediation has appointed Graham Hodgson as managing director. Hodgson is a graduate chartered civil engineer who has more than 30 years' design, construction and management experience in international construction.

Reference and screening business Datapol has appointed Colin Carslake as business development manager. He has more than 21 years' experience in the insurance industry and joins from Guarantee Society, a wholly owned subsidiary of CGNU, where he was operations manager for the crime an fidelity division.
