Specialist golf insurance providers The Golfers Club expects to see the number of customers for its golf insurance exceed 40,000 by the end of this year.
The company said it believes its cover is particularly useful in the current litigious climate as the High Court has recently ruled that golfers are liable for all shots that cause injury.
Cover provided includes public liability and personal accident cover up to £2m, and lost, damaged or stolen golf equipment.
Most importantly, it covers a £200 bar bill if you get a hole-in-one.
