Groupama has appointed two regional business development managers in a bid to improve the service to provincial brokers.

Simon Hurt and Anne Harrison both step up from their existing roles a?s strategic account managers.

Groupama said their focus would be on the growing number of relationships with provincial intermediaries operating nationwide.

Hurt and Harrison will manage key account management teams within Groupama’s intermediary solutions operation and will report to UK business development manager, Derek Findlayson.

Findlayson said: “The move addresses the impact of the ongoing consolidation that we are seeing among brokers and the way in which our broker distribution is changing.

“By moving away from a traditional regional split between the two roles will enable Anne, Simon and their teams to build strong individual relationships.”

He said all sizes of brokers would benefit from the move.

“This flexibility will mean that our service proposition is highly targeted and offers close, local contact for a growing number of key intermediaries that need a more personal approach.”
