Groupama Healthcare is to expand its trading relationships and widen its appeal to specialist health insurance intermediaries in 2007.

Spearheaded by Claire Ginnelly, who joined Groupama Healthcare in January as head of business development, the plans will enable the Group to "maximise the potential of its innovative product range and excellent service record," the insurer said.

Ginnelly said: "With the integration of Clinicare complete and well behind us, we are now ready to take the next steps in the development of our business. Historically we have been servicing a very select panel of intermediaries and whilst this will continue, I am also looking to build our support by writing more with an even greater number of Groupama Healthcare agents.

"There is certainly the interest there and now that I have a full team of Key Account Managers in place, we will be able to offer the service required to build these relationships."
