After a seven-year hiatus, Queen's Counsel Jeffrey Gruder (pictured) has returned to the chambers where he started his career as a pupil barrister.

He originally left Essex Court Chambers for One Essex Court when the former moved from the Temple to Lincoln's Inn Fields in 1993.

But Gruder was lured back to Essex Court following its acquisition last month of a fifth office building.

Gruder is a supporting member of the Lloyd's Arbitration Scheme and belongs to the London Maritime Arbitrators Associations.

Gruder said: "Chambers has built a formidable reputation in international trade and arbitration, and commercial court work. This is a strategic move as well as a homecoming."
