Cooper Gay's former UK chief to join rival broker next May
Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has confirmed that it has hired Jim Summers, CEO of rival broker Cooper Gay's UK and Lloyd's operation.
Summers has been named global head of marine and energy specialty, effective May 2011.
Summers will be based in London and report to Andrew Marcell, CEO of global practices and head of placement strategy at Guy Carpenter. Martin Pepper and Steve Vivian, the respective heards of the London- and New York-based marine and energy practices, will report to Summers.
