Lloyd Hanks, a well-known insurer “agency man” in the
broker community, is to leave Allianz Cornhill
Insurance for premium finance provider Aascent.

He will join as sales and marketing director and be responsible for the strategic and operational management
of the sales force and securing new alliances.

At the time of going to press, Allianz Cornhill was unable to confirm if it had a replacement for Hanks.

Hanks has held a number of broker business
development roles with various insurers including Groupama and AXA. He also worked for networks run by Camberford Law and the Greatminster Group.

Aascent managing director Kevin O'Flanagan said: “We believe that Lloyd will be able to help us by utilising his
extensive knowledge of the market and broker needs to
accelerate our growth.

“He brings a wealth of experience in broker management and it fits perfectly our commitment to the market.

“I have complete confidence that Lloyd will contribute to significant business growth.”

Chris Hanks, general manager for Allianz Cornhill
said: “Allianz Cornhill Commercial has a very strong sales and distribution team and with a number of new recruits recently we are well positioned to continue with our major development plans in the broker market.”
