Harry's been tarted up
Eagled-eyed readers may have noticed that Harry Hastings, the plucky little mascot of motor broker Hastings Direct, has had a bit of a makeover.
Harry, who, it seems, has quite a following on YouTube, looks a little bit shinier than before (and the ditty is a little less grating). All part of the plan to take Hastings a bit more upmarket.
But has Harry lost a bit of his machismo in the transformation? This hasn’t been lost on Neil Utley, the boss of Hasting’s parent, IAG UK. He says: “The new Harry looks a little…” “Effete,” suggests Backchat?
“Well, I couldn’t see him in a fight.”
