Two non-executives join group company boards

Pierre Lefevre

Hastings Insurance Group has appointed Pierre Lefèvre and Clare Ryder as non-executive directors.

Former Groupama international managing director Lefèvre (pictured) has become non-executive director of Hastings Insurance Group and Advantage Insurance.

Salient Solutions managing director Ryder is non-executive director of Hastings Insurance Services, the UK retail broker.

Lefèvre worked at Groupama from 2002 to 2012 and previously worked at AXA from 1984 to 2002.

Ryder founded insurance consultancy Salient Solutions in 2005. She was previously head of distribution at MMA, and worked at Fortis Insurance and Norwich Union (now Aviva).

Hastings chairman Neil Utley said: “I am delighted the opportunity has arisen for us to further strengthen our boards with two top quality candidates. These are important additions to the boards and reflect Hastings’ continuing growth in scale and profits; their appointments will build on the corporate governance culture within the organisation.

“I am looking forward to working with Pierre and Clare in the new roles as we continue to progress our group and UK operations.”
