The Irish Insurance Federation (IIF) has announced that the president of the European Parliament, Pat Cox MEP, will be addressing its annual lunch next month.
IIF chief executive Michael Kemp said Cox's views would be of particular interest to the guests, especially on "the challenges that lie ahead on the road to European Union financial market harmonisation".
Kemp added: "The IIF is very grateful that President Cox has been able to make himself available on this important date in the insurance industry's calendar."
The lunch will take place on 20 May in Dublin.
