Hiscox has increased its forecast for the 2000 year of account on Syndicate 33.

Announcing the move, Hiscox said it has raised its forecast to 7.5 - 12.5% of capacity from the previous estimate of 5-10% of capacity.

It added that the forecast for 2001 remains unchanged at 2.5 - 7.5% of capacity. Capacity for both years of account on Syndicate 33 is £360m.

Syndicate forecasts are made after standard personal expenses are included but exclude Members' Agents' charges.

Standard personal expenses comprise managing agent fees, commission and charges levied on members by Lloyd's.
