Hiscox said its subsidiary, Hiscox Insurance, has sold a 49% interest in Heritage Group, an independent financial services group for £3.75m.
The shareholding has been sold to Hologram Holdings, a company owned by the management team at Heritage.
A net profit of £2.8m will be recognised in Hiscox's 2005 accounts.
