Marketing expert tasked with sharpening customer focus

Jill Hood, Head of Marketing, Gallagher Insurance Solutions

Arthur J. Gallagher International has appointed Jill Hood to spearhead strategic marketing activity across its expanding direct division.

Hood, who was previously head of customer marketing with Capita Insurance Services, will work with individual business heads to boost the group’s customer base, develop tailored propositions and drive divisional synergies.

AJGI aims to ensure that marketing and focus on the customer remain central to its operations as it pursues further expansion plans following the acquisition of flat insurance specialist Deacon Insurance Services.

She brings more than 10 years’ financial services experience, the last five focused on general insurance products, having previously been senior marketing manager for Tesco Bank responsible for all general insurance lines.

As head of marketing – direct, Gallagher Insurance Solutions, Hood will report to Andrew Wallin, managing director – direct. Gallagher Insurance Solutions is AJGI’s fast-growing UK distribution arm.
