Backchat was sad to hear that Norwich Union's (NU) director of claims public affairs David Hooker is set to call time on his insurance career and retire.
Hooker played an instrumental role in developing the ABI/Cila claims code, which was published earlier this year. NU will not be replacing Hooker, and his role will be merged into other departments, an NU spokeswoman said.
But Hooker fans should not be too downhearted, as news has reached Backchat that the great man is already planning an NU comeback in a consultancy role.
