Insurers are expected to pay more than $947m (£531m) in claims from Hurricane Dennis, Florida's Office of Insurance Regulation has estimated.

Hurricane Dennis hit the Florida Panhandle on 10 July, causing loss of life and extensive damage to property across the state.

More than $47m in claims has already been paid by insurers, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation said.
