Equity Direct Broking becomes Equity Insurance Partnerships
IAG UK has changed the name of its Equity Direct Broking affinity division to Equity Insurance Partnerships (EIP).
EIP’s portfolio partners include Santander UK, Renault, First Direct and Honda.
“As a name, Equity Insurance Partnerships says so much more about our business ethos and what the affinity division stands for,” said EIP managing director Charles Offord in a statement. “We believe it more accurately reflects our future direction, highlighting the strong collaborations and tailored solutions which add real value to our partners’ insurance propositions.”
IAG UK group CEO Ian Foy added: “Our objective for launching Equity Insurance Partnerships is to place further momentum behind the successes of 2011, which saw new affinity deals and industry-wide recognition of the business’s progress.”
Foy said EIP has recently secured partnerships with Mazda UK, Kia Motors and Silverstone, as well as contract extensions with Triumph and Nissan.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
