Allen, the tool hire group, has made a provision of £800,000 in its full-year results to cover the write-off of employee and public liability premiums paid in advance to Independent Insurance, the FT reported this morning.
David Wallis, chairman, told the FT that Independent was one of three insurers from whom Allen took policies and confirmed “we have had to arrange new cover”.
