Christopher Graham to explain delay in publication of Soca list of firms that hired rogue investigators

Information Commissioner Christopher Graham will face MPs today to explain why he wants to withhold the list of names and companies that hired rogue investigators.

MPs gave the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca) the deadline of Monday 9 September to publish a list of the 102 law firms, insurance companies and celebrities that hired rogue investigators. The deadline passed without the publication of the list.

Graham wanted to halt the publication of the list to conduct an investigation into a potential breach of data protection laws, reported the Mail Online

MPs were set to publish the list before Graham and the police objected, prompting Graham to be called before MPs today.
