Travel insurer Insure & Go is aiming to double its business next year.

Managing director James Richardson said the business "expanded massively". He said Insure & Go would be targeting the expatriate market next year, to take the business into Europe.

Richardson said Insure & Go was also looking at selling policies through digital television and sms marketing next year.

"Our vision is to provide travel insurance through existing business to business relationships using state of the art technology at no cost to the third parties we work with," Richardson said.

He said next year would see a "unique" policy for backpackers, which did not have terrorism exclusions. He said a Lloyd's syndicate would be underwriting the policy.

Richardson said Insure & Go planned to launch a travel insurance portal for brokers in two weeks. "This will enable brokers to use white label sites for free.".

He said Insure & Go powered the travel insurance site.
