Policy designed for small events
Specialist event insurance provider, Insurex Expo-Sure, a division of Hiscox, is to offer comprehensive cover online for organisers of small events.
The small events policy is designed for organisers of private events, such as weddings and barmitzvahs, and corporate events up to £50,000 cancellation sum insured in the UK and Europe, the company said
"Accredited brokers will have the opportunity to earn a competitive commission by using the online service, and will be provided with a dedicated link to the product which they can send to their clients."
Mark Trevor, Insurex Expo-Sure managing director, said: “Moving this product online will help our brokers target small event organisers who recognise the importance of insuring their event but who do not have the time to deal with the paperwork.
The policy is tailored to three main areas of event risk: cancellation and abandonment, property damage and legal liability
