The Invaluable Group is developing a product to helps art lovers establish the provenance of their prospective purchases.

Called Invaluable Checker, the database-driven product establishes the auction history of a piece of art - in some cases as far back as the 19th century by searching the unique Leggatt Archive.

The Leggatt Archive is a comprehensive collection of UK auction catalogues from most of the major fine art sales between 1836 until 1992, which have been carefully annotated with sale prices and names of buyers.

Invaluable Checker can help buyers and sellers in the auction world by preventing stolen items getting to market in the first place, and by detecting those that are already there, thus ensuring peace of mind for beginners and experienced collectors alike.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
