Glasgow-based broker International Risk Consultants (IRC) has acquired TDF Credit Insurance Services, doubling the company's annual turnover to £4m a year.
IRC purchased the English broker firm from US-based financial services company GE Capital in a cash deal worth in excess of £1m.
Alan Wallace, joint managing director of IRC Europe, said: “The TDF acquisition gives us offices in Scotland, the North, the Midlands and the South East, which means we can give an even better level of service to our growing roster of UK clients."
No staff will be made redundant as a result of the acquisition.
