Finance minister tell AIB to take a hard line on Sean Quinn

Brian Lenihan, Ireland’s Finance Minister has told Anglo Irish Bank to take a hard line against Sean Quinn, who owes the nationalised lender €2.8bn (£2.4bn), the Times reports.

Quinn said he had not sought to write off his debts and that “a significant element” of the repayment would come from the sale of Quinn Insurance.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
