Paul Jardine will be joining Catlin Underwriting Agencies Limited (CUAL) in October.
The director and chief actuary of Equitas will participate in the overall management of Catlin and will have specific responsibility for the development of new financial products.
Jardine, who joined Equitas in 1996, will also be in charge of providing innovative risk solutions to meet the changing nature of the insurance marketplace.
CUAL is a leading Lloyd's underwriting agency, operating composite syndicates with a capacity of £240m for 2001.
