Les Brewin is replacing Bob Parkins

Jelf-owned Purple Partnership has appointed Les Brewin as managing director.

Brewin will take over from Bob Parkins, who is making a planned return to his own brokerage, PSP Insurance & Financial Solutions – Purple’s first member.

Parkins has been managing director of Purple since its launch in January 2008 and will continue his involvement with the network in a non-executive capacity.

Les Brewin, who has worked alongside Parkins in establishing Purple in the network arena, previously spent a long career with RSA before joining Jelf four years ago.

Phil Barton, Jelf Group commercial director and chairman of Purple Partnership, said: “Bob’s previous experience in building a network has been invaluable to us and we thank him for his commitment over the last two years. Purple has gone from strength to strength as we have exceeded our growth plans and continue to develop sustainable partnerships between our 37 members and the panel of insurers who support us. That is due in no small part to Bob’s personal contribution.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
