Broker adds five new people to recently-acquired company

Broking group Jelf has recruited five people and launched a motorsport division at The Insurance Partnership (TIP), the broker it bought in July.

The acquired company is now known as Jelf Insurance Partnership.

To launch and develop the new motorsport division, Jelf Insurance partnership has hired rally enthusiast Jaz Bareham (pictured) for its Hull office.

She previously held account handling and executive roles with NFU Mutual, OAMPS Special Risks and Competition Car Insurance.

Also joining the team in Hull is corporate account handler Suzanne Armstrong.

The company has also expanded its corporate risk team in Leeds with three appointments: Ben Meehan and Alan Waugh join as account executives from Jardine Lloyd Thompson, while Daniel Binns joins from Towergate to take up the role of account broker.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
