New division formed from acquisition of rival broker’s client book

Romford-based broker Grove & Dean has launched a motorsport insurance division after taking over the motorsport client book from rival broker MMC Broking Group.

The new division will be run by former MMC director Andy Hancock and Grove & Dean’s group corporate manager Darrell Atkins.

The division will provide motorsport insurance products for UK, European and International drivers and racing teams, from GT to Formula 1.

Grove & Dean managing director Damian Collett said: “Our company has a long and successful history insuring performance and sports cars, so our move into motor sport is a very natural one. We’re confident Grove & Dean Motorsport will offer tangible benefits to motor sport teams and individual drivers.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
