Jobs in insurance are at a six month high in Sussex, Surrey and the south east, according to recruitment consultancy Alexander Lloyd.
Demand for employees in January was over double that of six months ago, while the number of jobseekers fell.
Operations director Neil Quarendon said: "The outlook is very buoyant. The falling number of candidates is further evidence of a flourishing sector."
