When Backchat recently visited him, our chat was interrupted by a resounding version of the Scot anthem and Proclaimers hit 500 Miles.
Wallace said: "Most Scots go for Flower of Scotland or Scotland the Brave, but I wanted something which had a bit of thump. You can't beat the Proclaimers for that."
It is understood he is preparing to be the man who walked 1,00 0 miles after September across the many UK golf courses. "I am determined to get a handicap in single figures."
