Edward Creasy to aid growth in London Market

Capita Commercial Insurance Services has appointed Edward Creasy to its board as non-executive director.

Creasy, who will join the board on 1st July 2009, is chairman of the Kiln Group, the international insurance and reinsurance underwriting group. The appointment is subject to regulatory consent.

We are confident that with his vast experience and insight into the insurance industry, he will make an enormous contribution to the continued development of our strategy, and help steer us successfully towards achieving our growth agenda in service provision to the live London Market.”

Prior to stepping up to the role of chairman of Kiln, Creasy was chief executive for seven years and led the successful sale of the group to Tokio Marine in 2008. He was also chief operating officer at St Paul at Lloyd’s (now Travelers) and as managing director at Cassidy Davis Ltd/Cassidy Davis Syndicate Management Ltd.

Creasy, who will be taking on this role in addition to his current responsibilities, said: “I am delighted to be joining the team at Capita Commercial Insurance Services at this exciting time in their business. I look forward to using my experience to help the business through its challenging strategic agenda.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
