Aon's Dennis Mahoney decided to give the company's visiting US bigwigs a taste of London life recently.

With a high-powered presentation planned for the following day, Mahoney decided to treat the execs to an evening at Spearmint Rhino – a lap-dancing club on Tottenham Court Road.

A great time was had by all. But rather than taking the edge off the visiting dignitaries' jet lag, the evening's entertainment plunged the next day's events into chaos.

It seems most of the execs did not get back to their hotel rooms until 4am – with the first speeches due to take place at 10am. When none of the execs turned up at the presentation, more than 100 senior staff were told a “technical hitch” had delayed proceedings for two hours.
