LFC snaps up rival broker

LFC Insurance Group has acquired fellow Essex-based business Roundhouse Insurance Brokers.

The deal, which is expected to be completed at the end of May, will see its managing director Ray Noakes and his broking team move to LFC’s headquarters in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex.

It follows LFC's recently announced multi-million pound refinancing deal with Macquarie Bank to boost its acquisition drive.

LFC managing director, Jerry Clayton, said: “We have been talking to Roundhouse for a long time and had a common view with Ray and his team about the value of personal service for commercial clients. One of the strengths of the Roundhouse book is the high level of customer loyalty, demonstrated by excellent retention rates.
