Liberty expands in the north

Liberty International Underwriters Europe has appointed Stuart Chamberlain as senior regional casualty underwriter based in its Manchester branch.

Chamberlain has fifteen years’ underwriting experience in both the company and Lloyd’s markets. In this new role, he will be responsible for providing technical support to brokers and developing casualty business in Manchester, the north of England and Scotland.

Paul Kurgo, head of LIU Europe’s UK and Ireland Commercial Unit, said: “One of our main objectives for this year is to strengthen our presence in the regions so our brokers have easier access to the technical and development support they need.

"Stuart’s expertise across casualty products will be a great addition to the team in Manchester which was strengthened earlier this year by the appointment of Michelle Beverley to the new position of Branch Manager.”
