Lloyds TSB will outsource another 1000 jobs to India by the end of 2005.

It said that by the end of 2004, staff numbers at its two sites in Bangalore and Mumbai will reach 1,500, before climbing to 2,500 by the end of 2005.

The work done in India includes back office work from the company's headquarters and from Cheltenham & Gloucester.

But the new roles will include general insurance and IT functions.

Lloyds TSB said it would offer any employees affected by the changes alternative employment within the group.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
