The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has confirmed the appointment of four new board members.

Neil Maidment, chairman of the group underwriting committee at Beazley; Matthew Wilson, chief executive of Brit Global Markets; and Stuart Willoughby, claims director at Markel International will be joining the LMA board.

At the annual general meeting yesterday it was also decided that Lawrence Holder, managing director of Cathedral Underwriting will remain on the board.

In addition, John Dunn, finance director, Liberty Syndicate Management is joining the board as a newly co-opted member.

It was also confirmed that Barnabas Hurst-Bannister will continue in his role as LMA chairman for the next 12 months.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
