Carl Berriman hired to improve electronic product delivery to brokers and their clients

LV= has hired Carl Berriman as head of product delivery at its broker-facing operation, LV= Broker.

He joins from rival insurer Markel Insurance, where he was responsible for strategic projects for the past four years. He has also worked for Churchill and Hiscox.

In his new role, Berriman will work on streamlining LV= Broker’s electronic trading processes.

LV= Broker currently offers e-trading in private car, commercial vehicle and motorcycle products with key software houses.

Berriman will work with the insurer’s software providers to improve product delivery to brokers and their customers.

He will oversee product development and testing, as well as product validation at LV=’s Highway and ABC products.

Berriman will be based in Brentwood and report to LV= Broker personal lines director Michael Lawrence.

Lawrence said: “Carl is joining us at an exciting time as we have ambitious plans and improving our product delivery will play an important role in these plans.

“Carl has both the technical expertise and experience to help us drive forward our current product delivery strategy.”
