New product offers increased coverage and expanded underwriting footprint
LV= Broker is launching an enhanced motorcycle policy with increases to cover and wider underwriting criteria.
The launch is part of LV= Broker’s plans to become a top three bike insurer and has been handed a four-star Defaqto rating.
The new product will be Highway branded and offer new bike replacement cover for bikes under six months old and replacement lock cover if keys are lost or stolen.
LV= Broker has also increased the underwriting footprint to cover bikes with 600cc engines and above, such as sports bikes. The policy can also cover adventure and ‘naked’ bikes, opening up the Highway brand to a broader range of riders than previous policies allowed.
Personal lines direction Michael Lawrence said: “LV= is one of the leading bike insurers in the UK and one in six bikes on the road are insured with us. We have developed this new product following feedback from our brokers.
“We believe this product will enable us to increase our share of the bike market and become a top three bike insurer in the very near future.”
