NIG MD to move to parent company to be deputy CFO

NIG managing director, Neil Manswer is to leave the insurer this summer to take up a new position at its parent company, Direct Line Group.

NIG confirmed the internal move, which will see Manser become the deputy chief operating officer at Direct Line.

Jon Greenwood, managing director of commercial at Direct Line Group said: “I am pleased to announce that after two successful years as managing director of NIG, Neil has been appointed as deputy chief operating officer reporting to Penny James, our group chief financial officer.

”During his time in commercial, Neil has been an integral part of my leadership team, developing and implementing the NIG strategy to be effortless to trade with, and in doing so giving NIG and its leadership team clear strategic direction and leaving them well placed for future success in the market.

”Neil will be moving into his new role effective August, and I am now in the process of securing his successor.”

No replacement has been announced and a NIG spokesperson said the rest of the NIG executive team will remain the same.
