Mapfre Assistance has launched Mapfre Warranty to target the UK used car warranty market.
Mapfre Warranty will supply motor warranty products to the motor and insurance industries.
It will use Mapfre's current underwriting and claims operation in Bristol, and is recruiting an account management team. The firm is headed by Dennis Foley.
Mapfre Assistance chief executive Gregorio Santos said: "With his vast experience in the automotive and financial services markets, Dennis is the ideal person to build our warranty business, and I’m sure he will be highly successful.”
