MMC companies Marsh and Mercer to share new Manchester base
Marsh and Mercer are consolidating their Manchester operations into one location.
The companies have signed a 10-year lease to occupy office space in Belvedere House, a new city centre development.
Marsh and Mercer’s Manchester operations are currently spread across three Manchester locations.
The move is expected to be completed in early 2011, with accommodation for approximately 400 staff.
Marsh UK chief executive Martin South said: “Our move into this prestigious development underscores both our commitment to our clients in Manchester and the ambitious growth plans we have for our business in the area.
"As well as reducing our carbon footprint, the co-location of Marsh and Mercer will benefit clients through even closer collaboration.”
Alan Whalley, chief executive of Mercer UK, said: “Manchester is the centre for one of our largest and most diverse regional operations in the UK.
"Bringing all our experts together in one flagship centre will be of great benefit to our teams and our clients, enabling us to provide a more extensive range of fully integrated services.”
