Zurich has announced that Mark Winlow, managing director of its UK personal lines business, has decided to leave the insurer.
Ian Stuart, chief executive of Zurich's UK general insurance business, has confirmed that he sees no necessity to replace Winlow, who joined Zurich from financial services consultancy AT Kearney in January 2004.
Instead, in addition to his chief executive responsibilities, Stuart will take a more direct role within the personal lines operation himself, having run a similar business during his time with Eagle Star, Ireland.
Neither Zurich nor Winlow were available for further comment.
