Merlin and Mi Limited collaborate to improve claims handling
Merlin is the latest firm to improve their claims handling over the web with an online claims solution from global insurance technology provider, Mi Limited.
Merlin’s new web-based ‘On Cover’ system has been built using Mi Trader technology and will enable the business to manage claims made against commercial contracts in an online environment and reduce the claims lifecycle and indemnity spend.
The system acts as a “Claims Hub” so that underwriters, loss adjusters, claims managers and the insured can manage the lifecycle of the claim from first notification of loss to settlement and payment.
Functions include: recording, reserving, insurance claim file tracking, document production and payment processing using the latest Microsoft .Net technologies. This approach ensures a customer-focused service which improves efficiency and generates significant cost savings for claims of all complexities. The system will also provide regular email updates on ongoing claims and measure workflow with a diary and task management feature.
