Managing general agency (MGA) Euna Underwriting has appointed Rob Adams.

Adams joins the MGA from Pen Underwriting where he headed up the recruitment insurance book.

Insurance Times reported last week that Adams had resigned from Arthur J Gallagher-owned Pen.

Adams will start his new role in 2017.

At Euna Adams will work with the professional indemnity and management liability team which is headed up by Peter Newson to continue the development of the MGA’s professional risks underwriting division

The MGA wants to develop and expands its recruitment consultants portfolio through its network of 300 partner brokers in the UK.

Euna Group chief executive Chris Hobbs said: “We always want to bring in the very best in their respective fields in order to support our partner brokers.

”In Rob we have a stand out leader with a long standing track record of success.”

Newson added: “Rob is clearly the UK market’s standard bearer in the recruitment insurance sector.

“We are delighted to be working with someone of Rob’s undoubted underwriting and leadership qualities.”
