Legal expenses provider Eastgate Legal & Medical is to offer brokers bespoke net-rated uninsured loss recovery products.
The product, Legalplus Motor, will allow brokers to mix and match from road rage, manipulative treatment, emergency, and motor contract dispute insurances.
It is aimed at brokers selling more than 50,000 units of motor business per year. Eastgate will sell Legalplus Motor on a net-rated basis, allowing the brokers to determine commission levels.
Motor development manager Andy Tomkins said deciding factors in pricing will include the number of policies the broker is likely to handle, the broker's profile and the market profile the broker is seeking to work in.
The first of the product's component parts, road rage indemnity, covers legal costs if the policyholder wants to pursue compensation for injuries that result from a roadside attack.
Emergency cover provides for a day's car hire or overnight accommodation for up to four people. And motor contract dispute covers legal costs in disputes arising from the purchase, hire- purchase, lease or sale of a vehicle.
