Comapny pays £1.2m for medico-legal reporting company

Mobile Doctors has commenced its consolidation of the fragmented medico-legal reporting market with the acquisition of medi-fiche in a £1.2 million deal.

Medi-fiche, which employs 20 people, is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of independent expert reporting for personal injury claims.

The purchase is Mobile Doctors’ first acquisition since gaining admission onto AIM in July.

The company has confirmed it is in discussions with other potential targets.

Matthew Game, founder and CEO of Mobile Doctors, said: “Our objective is to continue to grow both organically and through strategic acquisitions.

“Medi-fiche is a successful, rapidly expanding business which will be easily integrated, yielding synergy benefits from both sides. The fact that this is an all share deal supports our philosophy that there are real benefits in consolidation within this market.

“We hope that this acquisition will be the first of many over the coming 12 months.”

Established in 1989, Mobile Doctors uses independent experts to provide medical reports for use in personal injury, medical negligence, employer and public liability cases.

The company utilises a national network of specialist examiners and GPs to provide its reports and services, working closely with many of the UK’s leading insurers and solicitors.
