Mondial Assistance UK has been selected to underwrite Leading Edge's specialist policy for backpackers.
Mondial were chosen because they were able to offer the effective one-stop-shop that Leading Edge was looking for.
In addition they were able to provide the emergency backup that backpackers often need, when they are in need of help in remote areas.
Previously Leading Edge used multi-party suppliers but wanted to streamline its backpacker policy management.
Mondial Assistance UK is part of Mondial Assistance Group, which has a worldwide reputation and claims backup across the globe.
Business manager Roman Bryl: "This new contract is another illustration of the tremendous success the Travel Division team has worked so hard to achieve. We are looking forward to working with Leading Edge to develop a market leading insurance product for backpackers.
"Mondial will be able to supply a whole suite of services, whilst maintaining our commitment to added value and customer care," he added.
