Constructaquote.com to cover new sectors.

Commercial broker Moorhouse has expanded its online insurance comparison website Constructaquote.com to offer SME cover across a wide range of sectors.

www.constructaquote.com, which was launched in February last year, was initially designed to revolutionise the way tradesmen buy and receive their insurances online. It originally offered a genuine one-stop-shop facility for the construction industry to compare and instantly obtain cover for liability, van, goods in transit and plant and materials.

Following early success Welsh broker Moorhouse has now upgraded the Constructaquote site to allow a wider range of SMEs to access multiple products such as shops and offices, pubs, hotels, fleet and retail among others. Constructaquote also provides SMEs with instantaneous quotes from a panel of insurers including NU, Groupama, MMA, Fortis, Zurich and AXA.

Lyndon Wood, chairman of the Moorhouse Group, and founder of www.constructaquote.com, said: “It is vital that insurance is made available in the way people want to buy it and we have been proactive in pioneering this through Constructaquote for tradesmen.

"This latest SME development is a natural transition to extend the service to a wider range of commercial insurance buyers and to replicate the success of this model in a broader setting.”

“Constructaquote allows users to access a wide range of markets and the comparison facility further allows them to evaluate cover against similar products available. Feedback from tradesmen, who the site was initially aimed at, highlighted how valuable and convenient it is for them to access all the insurance covers they require from a single site.

"The expansion of Constructaquote to SMEs will further allow a wider range of businesses to greatly benefit for the same reasons.”
