Disaster restoration experts Munters has won the contract to restore documents damaged in a suspected arson attack on council offices in Staines.

The cost of remedial work to Spelthorne Council's Knowle Green housing offices in June has been put at £200,000.
Munter's London and south-east office, based in Hounslow, is carrying out the work on the valuable housing documents recovered from the fire.

"We were able to get most of the urgent housing paperwork back to them within 48 hours," area manager Jamie Nash said.

"The documents were held in a secure location while the work was carried out due to the confidential nature of the material."
