General Legal Protection wins contract with motor broker

GoSkippy

New motor broker GoSkippy.com has agreed on a deal with General Legal Protection to offer breakdown cover to its policyholders.

Go Skippy launched last year selling policies on behalf of Southern Rock. The company is now in the process of establishing a panel of insurers.

Go Skippy operations director Alan Ball said: “One of our unique selling points is our ability to include a full range of benefits in our policies, meaning all our customers receive an unrivalled standard of cover without any extra charges on top of their premium price.

“In order to achieve this we have partnered with some of the UK’s leading product providers, but finding the right breakdown product was particularly important because it’s likely to be the one that’s used most frequently.”

The contract will be worth more than £600,000 to General Legal Protection over the next 12 months.

General Legal Protection managing director André Scruton said: “Go Skippy has the potential to become a market leader in the car insurance market and is quickly building an impressive customer base, which makes this an extremely prestigious contract for us.”

Go Skippy and its branding are themed around children’s television series, Skippy the Bush Kangaroo.
